Play Air Traffic Control Simulator Online
Harbor Tower is an online air traffic control simulator built around a small coastal airport. Select arriving aircraft, place waypoints and bring them through the approach gate to runway 18. Ten arcade challenges start with two to four simultaneous arrivals, then add waves of traffic and departures that share the same runway. Each aircraft has a fuel countdown, so it cannot wait indefinitely.
How to play Air Traffic Control Simulator online
- Start the first shift: two aircraft enter together. Select a flight strip or an aircraft on the map.
- Click or tap clear airspace to add up to eight waypoints. Pause whenever you want time to plan.
- Choose Queue landing to replace the route with a path through APPROACH to runway 18. Keep other aircraft away from that route.
- Wait for the runway to clear before sending another arrival. Later challenges also need departures: use Clear departure when the approach corridor is empty.
- Land all required arrivals and send all departures safely to complete the shift and unlock the next challenge.
Controls
Use a mouse or touch pointer to select aircraft and add waypoints. Keyboard users can select flight-strip buttons, choose a named waypoint from the menu, and activate Add waypoint or Queue landing. Pause stops the simulation; Speed switches between normal and double speed. Sound starts off.
A tip before you start
Pause and inspect both routes before merging traffic. A fast jet can catch a slower propeller aircraft even when they start well apart. Keep one flight in its holding area while another approaches the runway.
Airport traffic control in online games
Airport traffic control in online games is about timing as much as direction. Here, each arrival begins in a small holding pattern. A waypoint route guides it across the map; Queue landing sends it through the marked approach gate. The game models one runway and two aircraft speeds so each decision stays visible.
Your first safe landing
Start the shift, select MF1, and choose Queue landing. Its route now runs to the approach gate, then south onto the runway. Keep the other arrival in its holding area until the first aircraft lands, while watching its remaining fuel. The runway remains occupied for seven seconds. If an arrival reaches the approach while it is occupied, the aircraft goes around; select it and queue another landing once the runway clears.
Warnings, separation and scoring
Amber rings warn of a predicted close pass. Losing separation counts as one incident while the pair remains too close and costs 30 points. A safe landing earns 100 points. Three incidents, a collision or an aircraft running out of fuel ends the challenge. A departure occupies the runway and climbs north through the approach corridor, so clear that corridor first.
Ten shifts, one airport
The ten challenges progress from six arrivals to fifteen, with departures introduced later. Two aircraft enter together in the first shift, three in shifts five to eight, and four in shifts nine and ten. New waves are scheduled every 10.8–18 seconds; up to four aircraft can occupy the map, and an incoming wave waits if the entry area is occupied. Aircraft have 123–150 seconds of fuel depending on the shift. Watch the flight-strip countdowns and land older arrivals before fuel runs out; Pause stops the countdown. Best scores and unlocked challenges save in this browser. Reloading begins a fresh shift; individual aircraft positions are not saved. Restart asks for confirmation and preserves completed challenges.
A small arcade tower
This is a simplified entertainment game with illustrated aircraft and a map overlay. It does not reproduce real separation standards, radio procedures or professional controller training.
Frequently asked questions
How do I guide an aircraft to the runway?
Select its flight strip, then choose Queue landing. It must pass through APPROACH before reaching the runway. Manual waypoints help separate traffic before you queue a landing.
What causes a conflict?
A conflict happens when two aircraft become too close. Predicted close passes display amber warnings before actual separation is lost. Pause and reroute one aircraft to avoid the crossing.
Why did my aircraft go around?
The runway was still occupied. The aircraft is sent away from the runway instead of landing. Wait until the runway clears, select that aircraft again and choose Queue landing.
Is this a training simulator?
No. Harbor Tower is an arcade browser game, not an aviation training tool.
Is the game free with no download?
Yes. Play free in this page with no app installation, account or game ads.
Does it save my progress?
Completed challenges, best scores and the sound setting save locally when browser storage is available. The active shift restarts after a reload.
