How to play Pisti online
- Choose Study challenges or Full CPU match. Studies reveal both hands; normal matches keep the computer's cards hidden.
- Tap a card in your hand. The preview tells you whether it captures the pile, earns a Pisti bonus or stays on the table. Press Play card to confirm.
- Match the top card's rank or play a Jack to take the whole pile. Plan what your opponent can capture after your move.
- Finish the deal, review Score & pile and continue the match toward 151. In a study, reach the displayed final margin to unlock the next challenge.
Controls
Tap or click a hand card, then Play card. Keys 1–4 select cards; arrows and Enter move and select; P plays, H hints, U or Ctrl+Z undoes a study. Help and Score & pile open separate panels. A cancelled or dragged touch does not play a card.
A tip before you start
A Jack can rescue a valuable pile, but matching a lone card is often worth more. Check whether you are leaving a fresh single card for your rival, and remember that the deal's final play cannot earn a Pisti bonus.
The Pisti card game at this table
Pişti, also spelled Pishti, is a Turkish capture game. This version uses two players, a standard 52-card deck and a non-bluffing match to 151. The nondealer leads each four-card batch. When both hands empty, four more cards are dealt to each player. After a complete deal, the dealer changes.
Capture the top rank
Only the pile's top card decides a normal capture. Play the same rank to take the entire pile, including your played card. A Jack captures any nonempty pile. Otherwise, the card stays on top. You cannot select a buried match, combine numbers or take only part of the pile.
Ten points, twenty points, or no bonus
Matching a lone non-Jack earns a ten-point Pisti. A Jack capturing a lone Jack earns twenty. A Jack on another lone rank captures without a bonus; on an empty table it simply stays there. This table awards no Pisti on the first or final play of a deal.
Opening cards and the visible stock bottom
Four cards begin in the center. The top is revealed, continuing past Jacks until a non-Jack appears; four opening Jacks require a redeal. Only the first capturer sees the remaining face-down opening cards. The bottom stock card is a visible non-Jack. Score & pile distinguishes hidden opening cards from cards you may inspect.
Count the whole deal
Each captured Ace and Jack scores one, the two of clubs scores two and the ten of diamonds scores three. Taking more cards earns three; a 26–26 tie gives no majority bonus. Add Pisti bonuses, and give leftover pile cards to the last capturer. Settle the full deal before checking for 151 and an outright lead. Tied match totals continue into another deal.
Twenty studies with more decisions to plan
Study challenges begin with two cards in your hand and grow to four. Both final hands are open, and the stock is empty. Each study asks for a final score margin that can be guaranteed against every legal reply. Later boards introduce more consequential choices and longer plans. A weaker move can miss the target even if you still capture several cards.
Hints, Undo and complete CPU matches
A study allows two successful hints. Undo restores your previous choice and the computer's response, while used hints remain used. Normal matches offer advice based on your own cards and visible information, with no Undo. Restart repeats the starting deal after confirmation; New match starts a different one. Local saves retain unlocked studies, best results and sound settings, but not an unfinished match.
A clearly defined version
Pisti uses one consistent set of rules. It does not include bluffing, four-player partnerships, cash stakes or remote multiplayer rooms. Other Pişti tables may use a different target or Jack bonus. Here, the preview and scoring panel explain the result of the rules you are playing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play this Pisti card game alone?
Yes. Full CPU match plays complete deals against the computer until someone reaches at least 151 with a lead. Study challenges provide separate open-hand positions.
Does every Jack capture count as Pisti?
No. A Jack takes a nonempty pile, but its twenty-point bonus requires a lone Jack on the table. First and final plays do not earn a Pisti bonus.
Can I match a card buried under the top card?
No. An ordinary capture must match the top card's rank. You take the whole pile, rather than selecting individual cards.
What if we capture 26 cards each?
Neither player receives the three-point card-majority bonus. Captured special cards and Pisti bonuses still count.
Can the computer see my cards?
In full matches it uses its own hand and information legitimately revealed during play. Studies deliberately reveal both hands and use the strongest reply to test your plan.
Is Pisti free with no ads?
Yes. The game is free to play with no ads, and you can open it in your browser without a download or an account.
